Andy Dalton 2018 Outlook: Will The Red Rocket Take Off Again
6 years agoThe 2017 season for both Andy Dalton and the Bengals was a disaster. The offensive line was non-existent, the running game with Joe Mixon was never able to get traction and A.J. Green was even having a down season, as he had no complimentary player on the other side since John Ross took his blazing speed right to the injured list for the season. In 2018, things should change for the better as left tackle Cordy Glenn has arrived from Buffalo to help try to solidify the protection for both Dalton and the running game of Mixon and Gio Bernard.
The above-mentioned Ross is healthy, which means we might finally be able to see what he can do and at least for now Tyler Eiffert is semi-healthy making the weapons surrounding Dalton some of the best in the AFC. While Dalton is not going to be a quarterback you will need to draft in formats that aren’t two quarterback or super flex, he could be a solid waiver wire play as a streaming option in good match ups. Don’t be surprised if he sets career highs in passing yards and touchdowns along the way.
