FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Clayton Kershaw - P, vs WAS ($11,500)
Kershaw has thrown well this season, recording a 1-2 record, 1.73 ERA, and 0.89 WHIP through four starts. He has given up four home runs, which is a concern, but also features a 10.7 K/9. He gets a tough matchup against the Washington Nationals, but Kershaw is a -141 favorite in a game set at only 6 runs. Washington features the lowest implied run total on the slate at 2.8 runs.
Jhoulys Chacin - P, vs MIA ($5,500)
Chacin has struggled quite a bit this season, recording an 0-1 record, 5.60 ERA, and 1.93 WHIP through four games. He gets a great matchup against the Miami Marlins, though, who feature the highest strikeout rate on the slate. They also feature the second lowest team wOBA tonight. Chacin comes with plenty of risk, but he is a cheap option that is a -157 favorite in a game set at 9 runs.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Joey Gallo - C/1B, vs SEA ($3,500)
At this point, we know exactly what we have with Gallo. He's a player that hits for a low average, but features tremendous power. He's hitting under .200 this season, but 37.5% of his hits have been home runs. He features 0.035 wOBA and 0.111 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching, and he gets a matchup against Felix Hernandez, who has one of the highest HR/9 on the slate. Gallo is strictly a tournament option, though.
Yoan Moncada - 2B, vs HOU ($3,400)
Moncada is still seen as a top prospect, and for good reason. He is a powerful player that also comes with quite a bit of speed. In his last two games, Moncada has scored 47.6 and 37.2 fantasy points. He gets a tough matchup against Justin Verlander, but Moncada is a significantly better hitter against right-handed pitching. He comes with quite a bit of risk, as well, but Moncada will carry low ownership in this matchup.
Todd Frazier - 3B, at ATL ($4,100)
Frazier has been enjoying a great season, and he has been heating up over his last 10 games. Over that span, he is hitting .355 with three home runs and nine RBIs. He features 0.045 wOBA and 0.17 ISO differentials against left-handed pitching, and he gets a good matchup against Sean Newcomb tonight. Frazier has scored double digit fantasy points in four of his last five games, and he can be considered in all leagues tonight.
Eduardo Escobar - SS, at TB ($2,900)
Escobar has only played in limited road games this season, but he has looked outstanding in them. Overall, he is hitting .438 with a .875 slugging percentage and a 1.287 OPS away from home. He gets a matchup against Chris Archer, who is a great pitcher on paper, but has looked awful early this season. Escobar will not be playing in a hitter friendly stadium, but he makes a high upside option tonight.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Rhys Hoskins - OF, vs PIT ($4,900)
Hoskins has been enjoying an elite season, hitting .327 with a .618 slugging percentage and 1.105 OPS. He has recorded a 55.6% extra-base hits rate, while also recording three steals through 18 games. He also gets a good matchup against Ivan Nova in a hitter friendly stadium tonight. Hoskins has proven to be a consistent player with tremendous upside, although he is not going to come cheap.
Teoscar Hernandez - OF, at NYY ($3,300)
Hernandez has only played in five games this season, but he's hitting .375 with a .708 slugging percentage and a 1.108 OPS over that span. He has displayed a tremendous combination of speed and power, and he has been a dominant hitter against right-handed pitching throughout his career. He gets a decent matchup against Sonny Gray in a hitter friendly stadium, and he is somewhat of a cheaper, less consistent version of Hoskins.
