Marco Gonzales May Not Miss A Start
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales (thumb) is just dealing with a bruise, and the hope is that he won't miss a Cactus League start. His hand remains heavily wrapped, but he will be able to throw on Tuesday. Gonzales appears to have dodged a bullet after taking a line drive off the base of his thumb Monday night. It's great news for the young left-hander who is expected to be the team's swing man, at least to start the season. He'll have deep league value if he enters the starting rotation full time at any point in 2018.
