Matt Joyce Tries To Build Off Of Strong 2017
7 years agoMatt Joyce had a breakout year in the power department after being pretty mediocre for the better part of a decade in Tampa, LA, and Pittsburgh. 2017 saw Joyce reach 25 Home Runs in a year that pretty much every player who started over 130 games also managed to do. Matt Joyce hasn’t really been that fantasy relevant unless in singe league formats so his outlook this year doesn’t seem to promising. The Outfield position in Oakland is getting crowded with Stephen Piscotty being traded, Dustin Fowler coming in from the Sonny Gray trade, and other young players trying to make an impact following their promotions. Counting on a full season from him is likely out of the question, but if he produces early, given his age, he could be a mid-season trade candidate which could boost his fantasy potential.
