Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder Headed to Utah
7 years agoThe Utah Jazz have acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard Derrick Rose and forward Jae Crowder in a three-way trade. Guard/forward Rodney Hood is headed to Cleveland, while veteran forward Joe Johnson is moved to Sacramento. According to Shams Charania, the Jazz are likely going to release Rose. He does not fit the system in Utah and Donovan Mitchell is playing fantastic, which would limit Rose's impact. Other organizations could sign Rose as a backup guard, but he is better left on the waiver wire. However, Crowder should benefit with the move to Utah. He'll battle with Joe Ingles, Royce O'Neale and Derrick Favors for playing time. Crowder is expected to benefit from this move, but not enough to warrant a pickup.
