Jason Hammel's Age Has Caught Up With Him
7 years agoJason Hammel labored through a bad first season with Kansas City, and there isn’t much hope on the horizon. Hammel’s ERA and WHIP rose to ugly heights at 5.29 and 1.43, and his K-rate continued to fall for the second straight season. To top it all off, Hammel’s velocity fell for the fifth consecutive season. He may see a little help by having his strand rate and home run rate move back towards his career averages, but Hammel shows no sign of being the sub-4 ERA pitcher he’s previously been. Expect him to be unownable.
