Robbie Grossman Hoping To Bounce Back
7 years agoMinnesota Twins outfielder/designated hitter Robbie Grossman got the chance to play the most games of his career in 2017, although he mostly failed to capitalize on the additional opportunity. Grossman spent most of his career as the rare switch-hitter who hit better against left-handed pitching than he did against righties. Unfortunately, his production against southpaws really dipped in 2017 as he hit just .238 against them after hitting .344 against them in 2016. If the 28-year-old isn't going to hit against lefties, he loses most of his appeal as a platoon option for the team. Overall, Grossman slashed .246/.361/.380 with nine homers, 62 runs, and 45 RBI in 456 plate appearances. Grossman shouldn't be on the fantasy radar outside of extremely deep, AL-only formats.
