EXPERT ANALYSIS: The tale of Bud Norris' dramatic turnaround has already been documented, so let's examine how he might fare going forward. In his two starts since being traded to the Dodgers, Norris has pitched six scoreless innings against the Rockies and then allowed three ER in five innings against Baltimore. Given the fact that the Orioles are one of the hardest hitting clubs in baseball, his last outing is forgivable. Norris struck out 13 batters over those 11 IP and has upped his K/9 to 10.4 over the last month, up from 6.8 K/9 in April. He is also handing out less free passes, with 11 BB in his last 41.1 IP, as opposed to 11 BB in his first 22.2 IP of the year. Playing in Dodger Stadium figures to help any starting pitcher with its more spacious dimensions. Most importantly, playing for a contender rather than the bottom-dwelling Braves will actually give Norris a chance to win some games. Norris is just two years removed from a very effective season as a starter in Baltimore, so his recent comeback to relevance should be taken seriously. He is a known quantity, which is reassuring, although we already know what his ceiling is. He can be added to fantasy rotations in deep leagues and can help modestly in nearly every category.
