Devaughn Vele A Shaky Flex Play With Good Matchup In Week 12
4 mins agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver Devaughn Vele should be considered a WR5/flex for fantasy managers heading into a plus matchup against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders on the road in Week 12. Vele, a seventh-rounder back in April, has taken on a bigger role in Denver's passing attack ever since Josh Reynolds (hand) landed on Injured Reserve. The 26-year-old had his second-highest receiving yardage total (66 yards) in the Week 11 blowout win over the Atlanta Falcons and also came up 12 yards shy of Courtland Sutton's yardage total. However, Vele has also been under 40 receiving yards in five of his seven games in his rookie season. The Raiders secondary will be missing several key pieces on Sunday, which is good news, but Denver's offense may not need to throw the ball much in this one to win easily. Vele profiles as more of a desperation flex option for fantasy managers in deeper leagues.
