Jamison Crowder 2024 Outlook – Hanging On By A Thread
6 months agoCrowder has been a solid slot receiver during the course of his career, but injuries and age have caused his production to wane in recent years. He has only accounted for 22 receptions for 219 yards and one touchdown over the past pair of seasons. Crowder came home to Washington, where he had his greatest successes, last year and suited up for every game for the first since 2019. After signing a one-year deal this offseason, Crowder is shaping up to be Washington's starting slot receiver heading into 2024, unless third-round rookie Luke McCaffrey (Christian McCaffrey's brother) steals the spot in the slot. Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson are the clear top two receivers, with newly-signed running back Austin Ekeler and tight end Zach Ertz probably ahead of Crowder on the target totem pole as well. The veteran pass catcher should be a good influence in the locker room and can provide a stable target for rookie phenom Jayden Daniels, but at this point of his career Crowder cannot be expected to bring much to the fantasy table. He should be ignored in fantasy leagues unless Washington's receiving corps is stricken with major injuries during training camp or the early part of the season.
