Josh Jung Now Expected To Miss 8-10 Weeks
9 months agoAfter having surgery on his broken right wrist on Wednesday, Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) is now expected to have an eight- to 10-week time frame for a return. The repair of his wrist was a little bit more involved than it appeared to be on his X-rays. Jung fractured his right wrist on Monday when he was hit by a pitch and will now miss extended time. The 26-year-old is quickly developing a reputation for being injury-prone, but he needs to be stashed in all fantasy leagues because of his power-hitting upside in a strong lineup when he's healthy. The Rangers called up infield prospect Justin Foscue from the minors earlier this week, but it's been Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran that have started a game apiece at the hot corner since Jung's injury.
