Andrew Vaughn 2024 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Taking The Next Step In 2024
9 months agoChicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn did not have the breakout season fantasy managers hoped for in 2023. The 25-year-old slashed .258/.314/.429 with 30 doubles, 21 home runs, and 80 RBI with 103 wRC+ across 615 plate appearances. Vaughn maintained solid production despite playing for a woeful White Sox offense. His 46.5% hard-hit percentage was in the 79th percentile, while Vaughn's average exit velocity (90.6) placed him in the 73rd percentile per Baseball Savant. Over his first three big league seasons, he has essentially been a league-average hitter, unable to take the next step. However, a breakout campaign from the former No. 2 overall pick in 2024 is still possible. He has the raw talent and spent the offseason gaining strength and improving his agility. Currently, his NFBC ADP is around 230. ATC projects him to hit .261/.320/.440 with 29 doubles, 22 HRs, and 76 RBI in 2024. Overall, Vaughn is worth keeping an eye on. He can blow past his draft stock if he finally puts it together.
