Arthur Smith Interviews With Steelers
11 months agoFormer Atlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith interviewed on Sunday for the Pittsburgh Steelers' offensive-coordinator job, according to sources. Smith is on the open market after spending the last three years as the head coach for the Falcons, leading the team to 7-10 finishes all three seasons while directing offenses led by quarterbacks Matt Ryan, Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder and Tyler Heinicke. Before going to Atlanta, Smith was the Tennessee Titans' offensive coordinator in 2019 when quarterback Ryan Tannehill won Comeback Player of the Year. He could be an ideal leader for a Steelers offense that lacked consistency under former offensive coordinator Matt Canada. The Steelers will head into the offseason with a potential QB battle brewing this summer between Kenny Pickett and Mason Rudolph.
