Chris Godwin Misses Practice Due To Knee Injury
1 year agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin (knee) was held out of practice with the team on Wednesday due to a knee injury. This is a new injury for Godwin that he must have picked up in the Week 14 win over the Atlanta Falcons, so his practice status the rest of the week will be worth watching closely. He drew 11 targets -- one shy of his season-high -- last Sunday and caught five of them for 53 yards. The 27-year-old pass-catcher has seen a steep drop in fantasy value in 2023 while working with quarterback Baker Mayfield and has found the end zone just once. With an injury in tow, he's looking even more shaky as a fantasy asset as most fantasy leagues begin the first week of the playoffs in Week 15. If Godwin cannot play Sunday, rookie Trey Palmer would step into the No. 2 role behind the clear No. 1 in Mike Evans.
