Patriots Haven't Reached Decision On Starting Quarterback
1 year agoNew England Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien insinuated that a quarterback decision is still up in the air when talking to reporters on Monday. "At the end of the day, Bill (Belichick) will make that decision at some point and we'll go from there," O'Brien said. The Patriots are coming out of their Week 10 bye, and it's still unknown who will be starting under center in Week 12 against the New York Giants. In the team's Week 9 loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Germany, Mac Jones was benched for Bailey Zappe in the final two minutes with the game still on the line. Zappe is the obvious potential replacement, but Will Grier and Malik Cunningham could be options to replace Jones as well if they decide to go in that direction. None of New England's options are guaranteed to be any better than what Jones has been offering in 2023.
