Jahmyr Gibbs Will Play And Carry The Load In Week 7
1 year agoDetroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell told reporters on Friday that rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring), who has missed the last two games, will play in Week 7 against the Baltimore Ravens. "Certainly I think he's going to need to take the load of (the work)….I'd like to say we're going to be careful with him, but the reality is we need him," Campbell said. It's unclear if Gibbs will be removed from the final Week 7 injury report entirely or if he'll receive a questionable tag. Either way, the first-rounder will play and should have an elevated role from what he saw the last time he was active in Week 4 now that David Montgomery (ribs) is out this weekend. With the added touches, Gibbs will have RB2 upside, albeit in a tough matchup on the road.
