Hayden Hurst Catches One Pass In Loss To Miami
1 year agoCarolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst continued to disappoint in his first year with the team in the 42-21 blowout loss to the Miami Dolphins in Week 6 on Sunday. Hurst finished the contest with one catch on three targets for a 16-yard gain in the passing attack. Many expected the 30-year-old to be busy in Carolina as a safety blanket for rookie quarterback Bryce Young underneath, but that hasn't really been the case through six weeks of the 2023 campaign. Hurst has just one reception in three of the last four games and hasn't caught more than three passes in a single game since the season opener, when he had five receptions for 41 yards and his only touchdown of the year. Maybe the Panthers will look to get him more involved during their Week 7 bye, but for now, fantasy managers can ignore Hurst as a tight end streamer.
