Ranger Suarez Stingy In Game 4 Win Over Braves
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez had an impressive performance to win Game 4 of the National League Division Series on Thursday night and send the division-rival Atlanta Braves home packing. Suarez shut down a record-breaking Braves offense, giving up just one earned run on three hits (one homer) while walking none and striking out two in five innings of work. The only run the 28-year-old southpaw allowed was a solo shot to Austin Riley in the fourth inning. Suarez isn't blowing the ball by hitters or dominating by any means, but he continues to be stingy in the postseason. He has a 1.16 career postseason ERA in seven outings (five starts) and has given up just an earned run while walking one and fanning six in 8 2/3 frames over two starts against the Braves this year.
