Evan Carter Moved Up To Five-Hole For Game 1
1 year agoTexas Rangers rookie outfielder Evan Carter has been moved up to fifth in the batting order on Saturday for Game 1 of the American League Division Series against Baltimore Orioles right-hander Kyle Bradish. Manager Bruce Bochy hinted that this could be coming, and the rookie left-handed hitter will now get a more prominent lineup spot after going 3-for-4 with a home run and three walks in the two wild-card wins over the Toronto Blue Jays this week. The 21-year-old outfielder looked really good in his first 23 major-league games in the regular season, too, going 19-for-62 (.306) with five home runs, four doubles, a triple, 12 RBI, three stolen bases and 15 runs scored in 75 plate appearances.
