Ilya Mikheyev Not At Canucks Camp For Personal Reasons
1 year agoVancouver Canucks right wing Ilya Mikheyev has left the team's training camp for personal reasons, general manager Patrik Allvin announced on Thursday. It's currently unclear how long he will be away from the team. Mikheyev is also currently trying to return from a knee injury, and his participation in preseason games has been considered doubtful. The Russian winger had a solid debut campaign with the Canucks last term, posting 13 goals and 15 assists in 46 games before the knee issue ended his season in January. Mikheyev is also highly rated for his defensive skills and penalty-killing ability, so the Canucks will be desperate to get him into the lineup for opening night.
