Bryce Young's Size Limiting The Offense?
1 year agoCarolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young is just 5-foot-10 and 204 pounds, which hasn't allowed the team to use him for QB sneaks on third-and-short yardage. Plus, he doesn't have experience doing it. In the Monday night loss to the New Orleans Saints, the Panthers had to bring in backup Andy Dalton in those situations. It could be an issue for the offense moving forward. Young struggled in the Week 2 loss, and the offense went 4-for-14 on third downs, with Young going 4-for-9 for 32 yards with two sacks and two scrambles in those situations. His offensive line did him no favors, but he also struggled under pressure, going 3-for-8 for 13 yards with four sacks and a fumble when under pressure against a strong defense. The 22-year-old still doesn't have a completion over 15 yards through two games, and he doesn't really have explosive playmakers at his disposal.
