Roschon Johnson Could Quickly Become Bears' Best Back
1 year agoRight now, Chicago Bears running back Khalil Herbert is the team's top RB. However, rookie Roschon Johnson could become the team's best back as early as Week 3 or 4, according to The Athletic's Adam Jahns. Johnson has been everything the team said he'd be after taking him in the fourth round this year, from his hard-nosed, downhill style to his pass-blocking. But there remain plenty of questions after he was the backup to Bijan Robinson at Texas. Jahns writes that it's tough to know when to draft any of Chicago's RBs, and quarterback Justin Fields' rushing abilities on designed runs and scrambles must be factored in. Herbert has the edge in fantasy value entering the year as an RB3/flex, but Johnson is a worthwhile handcuff and late-round dart throw as well.
