Keep Expectations In Check For Anthony Richardson
1 year agoESPN's Dan Graziano writes that we shouldn't be surprised if Indianapolis Colts first-round rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson leads the league in interceptions in 2023. Richardson has off-the-charts talent and has a chance to be a superstar eventually, but he started only 13 games in college and will be developing while playing in real NFL games. He tossed nine interceptions on 327 pass attempts in his final year at Florida, so he's going to make mistakes, bad decisions and head-scratching throws. Graziano goes on to write that the Colts are throwing him in the fire because they think his character and makeup are strong enough that his failures won't set back his development. The Richardson experience is likely to be a roller coaster, but it doesn't mean he won't be worth considering as an upside QB2 in fantasy because of his rushing abilities.
