1 year agoThe Miami Dolphins placed cornerback Jalen Ramsey (knee) on Injured Reserve on Thursday, meaning he'll have to sit out the first four games of the 2023 regular season. Unlike running back Jeff Wilson Jr.'s (undisclosed) placement on IR on Thursday, the move for Ramsey isn't a surprise after he had surgery in late July to fix a torn meniscus in his left knee. The 28-year-old All-Pro defensive back will be out well beyond four games, and the Dolphins are hoping he can return at some point in December. Along with Ramsey, Nik Needham (Achilles) is also beginning the year on IR. Second-round rookie Cam Smith is going to be thrown into the fire right away across from Xavien Howard in Miami's secondary.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
