Randall Cobb Likely To Start In Week 1
1 year agoWhen the New York Jets signed wide receiver Randall Cobb this offseason, it felt like he would serve as more of a veteran mentor than have a prominent offensive role. However, by the end of training camp, it was clear that not only will he play a role, but he'll likely start in Week 1 of the regular season, according to The Athletic. He has looked like the team's best option in the slot and the best replacement for the retired Corey Davis in the running game. The 33-year-old could still have something left in the tank, but fantasy managers shouldn't waste a draft pick in him. Mecole Hardman Jr. will mostly be used as a gadget player, so fantasy managers expecting a breakout from him might be disappointed. The X-factor for Cobb is his longstanding relationship with quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
