Yandy Diaz Returns On Tuesday
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz (forearm) is back at first base and batting leadoff for the Rays on Tuesday against right-hander Sandy Alcantara and the Miami Marlins. Diaz sat out of the team's last two games due to a left-forearm contusion when he was hit by a pitch on Friday night against the New York Yankees, but he's feeling better now and should be returned to all starting fantasy lineups. The 32-year-old Cuban is having the best season of his career in 2023, slashing .326/.403/.507 with a .910 OPS, 17 home runs, 27 doubles, 66 RBI and 78 runs scored in 111 games in his fifth year in Tampa. He's been even hotter in August, going 33-for-92 (.359) with three homers, six doubles, 15 RBI and 16 runs scored in 21 starts.
