Marvin Mims Jr. Catches Two Passes Against Rams
1 year agoDenver Broncos rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. played in the preseason finale on Saturday night against the Los Angeles Rams and secured both of his targets for 51 yards in the 41-0 blowout win. He also saw one carry for a three-yard gain and returned a punt for 19 yards. Mims' second catch was initially ruled a 75-yard touchdown until it was brought back when replays revealed he was down by contact for a 50-yard gain. The 63rd overall pick in this year's draft has an opportunity to serve as a starter in three-wide sets immediately in his first year in the NFL with Tim Patrick (Achilles) out for a second straight season. Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) is also questionable for Week 1, so Mims could have a big role next to Courtland Sutton in his NFL debut. The 21-year-old could be a deep threat for quarterback Russell Wilson this year, but as long as both Sutton and Jeudy are healthy, he'll likely provide inconsistent fantasy production.
