Jonathan India To Begin Running
1 year agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (foot) took batting practice at Angel Stadium on Tuesday and then left to continue working out at the team's spring training complex in Arizona. He was scheduled to start running on an anti-gravity treadmill, which will enable him to not put pressure on his left foot while resuming a running program. India is scheduled for another MRI exam on Thursday. If the 26-year-old is able to avoid another setback with his plantar fasciitis, he should be able to return to the Reds starting lineup for the final month of the regular season in September. When he's ready, he should return to regular duties at the keystone after hitting .251/.336/.409 with 14 home runs, 52 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 68 runs scored in 394 at-bats in 2023 before his injury.
