Masataka Yoshida Getting A Day Off
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida is taking the day off on Wednesday against the Houston Astros. Justin Turner is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third, while rookie outfielder Wilyer Abreu is in left field and is hitting seventh against Astros right-hander Jose Urquidy. The 30-year-old Yoshida has impressed in his first big-league season, batting .295/.349/.459 with an .807 OPS, 13 home runs, 26 doubles, three triples, 61 RBI, eight stolen bases and 61 runs scored in 473 plate appearances over 111 games. He's been a must-start in all fantasy lineups as an everyday player for Boston. Abreu went 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored in his major-league debut for the BoSox on Tuesday.
