1 year agoKansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that there hasn't been communication with defensive tackle Chris Jones, and Reid doesn't know whether Jones will report to the team in time for the start of the 2023 regular season. Jones continues to hold out as he looks for a new deal entering the final year of his current contract with KC and now he might not be ready for the regular season opener against the Detroit Lions. The Chiefs said they don't plan on trading the 29-year-old pass-rusher, but the team and Jones remain far apart in contract negotiations. Jones had a career-high-tying 15.5 sacks in 17 regular season starts last year. The possibility of him not being ready for the start of the season will make him a risky No. 1 defensive line option in IDP leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
