Lucas Glover’s Outlook For Tour Championship
Coming into this week, Glover's odds are currently at 40/1 at most sportsbooks. This week's field features the top 30 in FedEx Cup standings, and East Lake will present a stern test for golfers where they must be accurate off the tee and on approach.
Glover must continue his exceptional approach play and accuracy off the tee if he intends to have a chance to win the FedEx Cup. It’s worth noting that at last year’s Tour Championship over 32% of approach shots were taken from 150-200 yards and this year Glover ranks in the 66th percentile in greens in regulation and 91st percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from 150-200 yards in the fairway. However, Glover ranks in the 64th percentile in greens in regulation and the 75th percentile in proximity to the hole on approach shots from over 150 yards in the rough.
