1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (groin) was back at practice on Monday at training camp for the first time since suffering an adductor injury. It's good to see Mitchell back at practice with the Niners, but the team could still play it safe and hold him out of the preseason finale this Friday against the Los Angeles Chargers. He lost most of fantasy value last year when the 49ers acquired All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey from the Carolina Panthers. The 25-year-old finished his second NFL season in 2022 with only 45 rushing attempts for 279 yards and two touchdowns in five games due to injury.
