Bryan Woo To Start Against White Sox
1 year agoSeattle Mariners rookie right-hander Bryan Woo (forearm) will start a game in Seattle's series in Chicago against the White Sox that starts on Monday, according to manager Scott Servais. Woo threw a 30-pitch bullpen session last Thursday, and Servais said Woo "felt really good." The 23-year-old first felt soreness in his right forearm after a bullpen session following his start against the Los Angeles Angels on Aug. 3. With fellow rookie Emerson Hancock (lat, shoulder) getting injured on Sunday, Woo will most likely replace Hancock in Seattle's starting rotation this week. The M's were hoping to go to a six-man rotation when Woo returned to help manage the workloads of all the rookies in their rotation, but they'll most likely have to go in another direction now.
