Jalen Virgil Injures Knee In Second Preseason Game
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Jalen Virgil (knee) left the team's second preseason game on Saturday night against the San Francisco 49ers early with a knee injury after getting hurt on a 50-yard catch on the final play of the first half. Virgil was tackled at the one-yard line, and the clock ran out on the first half as backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham spiked the ball to try and set up one more play. The 50-yard reception was Virgil's only catch of the contest. The 25-year-old was eventually carted to the locker room and didn't return, but it remains to be seen how serious his injury is or if he'll be able to play in the preseason finale next Saturday against the Los Angeles Rams. In his rookie season in 2022, Virgil had just two receptions for 75 yards and a score in nine games (one start).
