J.P. Crawford Trending In The Right Direction
1 year agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (concussion) is trending in a positive direction, but it's still unclear if he'll rejoin the team when he's eligible to be activated from the seven-day concussion injured list on Thursday, according to manager Scott Servais. Unless Crawford suffers a setback in the next few days, he should at least return at some point this weekend against the Houston Astros on the road. The 28-year-old landed on the injured list after bumping heads with his own teammate while trying to field a ground ball last week against the San Diego Padres. While the counting stats aren't amazing, Crawford is having a fine season for Seattle in 2023. He's hitting .266/.379/.411 with 10 home runs, 38 RBI and 63 runs scored in 107 games. Crawford's 10 home runs are already a career-high.
