1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri is not in the starting lineup on Friday as the team faces off against the visiting Cleveland Guardians. In his absence, Josh Lowe will return after getting a day off on Thursday to start in center field and bat eighth against Guardians right-hander Xzavion Curry. Siri is hitting just .216 (57-for-264) on the season, so he hasn't been of help for his average or on-base percentage (.258) in fantasy leagues in 2023, but his power has been useful (23 long balls). The 28-year-old Dominican has also driven in 48 runs, stolen seven bases and scored 45 runs. Although he has three home runs in eight games (six starts) so far in the month of August, Siri has just four hits in 25 at-bats with 12 strikeouts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
