Brendan Rodgers Scratched With Hamstring Injury
1 year agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Milwaukee Brewers and will likely rest on Wednesday as well. Manager Bud Black said that Rodgers tweaked his right hamstring when he went to his right for a grounder on Monday and threw across his body in the first inning. Alan Trejo is at the keystone and is batting seventh against Brewers left-hander Wade Miley on Tuesday. The 26-year-old should be able to avoid an injured list stint, but you never know with the oft-injured infielder. He's only managed 23 at-bats so far in 2023 and has managed just five hits (no homers) and two RBI in six games. Rodgers has not stolen a single base in 277 big-league games.
