1 year agoThe New York Mets placed outfielder Starling Marte (groin) on the 10-day injured list with a right-groin strain on Monday and recalled infielder Jonathan Arauz and outfielder Abraham Almonte from the minors in corresponding moves. Marte had just returned from the injured list on Friday from a bout with migraines, but he finds himself right back on the shelf after tweaking his groin and going 0-for-8 in two games against the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend. It's bad news for the 34-year-old veteran, especially since he had offseason surgery to fix both sides of his groin. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he doesn't return until September.
