Kenny McIntosh 2023 NFL Player Outlook: A High-Upside, Late-Round Swing
1 year agoThere was not a ton of fanfare when the Seattle Seahawks selected Kenny McIntosh (knee) in the seventh round of the 2023 NFL Draft. The Seahawks had already selected Zach Charbonnet a few rounds earlier and enjoyed a breakout season from sophomore Kenneth Walker III. A lot has changed since April, though. McIntosh has been garnering rave reviews from his coaches at training camp, and injuries to Walker (groin) and Charbonnet (shoulder) have thrust the Georgia product into the fantasy football spotlight. However, McIntosh is dealing with an injury of his own and will be sidelined for the next few weeks with a left knee sprain. Charbonnet missed just three sessions and returned to practice on Thursday. McIntosh has shown he can carry most of the backfield touches, leading Georgia with 829 yards in his senior season. The 23-year-old shined in the passing game, finishing third on the Bulldogs with 505 yards on 43 receptions. His 4.62 40-yard dash time, the third-slowest among all running backs, was the main reason he fell in the draft. McIntosh is worth a late-round pick in redraft leagues if he can return from his knee injury before Week 1 and if there are any setbacks with Walker or Charbonnet. The situation is worth monitoring throughout training camp and the preseason.
