Jeimer Candelario Collects Four Hits In Cubs Debut
1 year agoChicago Cubs first/third baseman Jeimer Candelario had a memorable debut with his new team in Tuesday's 20-9 win over the Reds. Playing first base, Candelario went 4-for-5 with three singles and a double. He also committed a fielding error. The 29-year-old was having a productive season with the Nationals before being traded and is now slashing .265/.348/.488 with 16 home runs, 53 RBI, and six stolen bases on the season. The improved lineup context should help boost his fantasy value, and he should continue to be a useful asset as long as he continues to hit for power.
