Ayo Dosunmu Eager To Bounce Back Next Season
1 year agoChicago Bulls guard Ayo Dosunmu had an underwhelming sophomore season in the NBA, but he's always been a great third-year performer and will look to prove it again in 2023-24. "Just trying to learn from my mistakes," Dosunmu told Darnell Mayberry of The Athletic. "Understand the success I had my rookie year and then the stagnant play or the tough road I had a little bit in my sophomore season. My junior year in all of my basketball career has been my best season from high school to college. It's always been the season where I took the next step. So I'm excited. I know the work that I put in and what I will show. I'm just ready for it." The 23-year-old, who recently signed a three-year, $21 million extension with his hometown team, posted 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 26.2 minutes last season, starting 51 of 80 games. He's hoping to lock in a starting spot again in a battle versus Cody White and Jevon Carter.
