1 year agoLos Angeles Angels rookie shortstop Zach Neto (back) remains out of the starting lineup on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays after he was scratched from Friday's lineup with back stiffness. Neto returned for the second game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Detroit Tigers and went 1-for-5, but he continues to deal with back issues and will rest for another day before hopefully returning on Sunday. Luis Rengifo is handling shortstop and is hitting leadoff, while Michael Stefanic will play the keystone and hit ninth against Rays right-hander Alek Manoah. When healthy, Neto has earned the starting duties at the 6 in his rookie campaign by hitting .251 (53-for-211) with eight homers, 28 RBI, five steals and 31 runs scored.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
