Jeimer Candelario Injures Shoulder Friday
1 year agoWashington Nationals third baseman Jeimer Candelario (shoulder) was removed from Friday's game against the New York Mets early after colliding with infielder Jeff McNeil at second base. Candelario was in significant pain after the collision and was grabbing his shoulder while walking off with a trainer. The 29-year-old has frequently been mentioned as a trade chip this summer, but if he ends up missing significant time, that might be out of the question. Fantasy managers will want to check back for more information on the severity of his injury, and there's a good chance he won't be able to play on Saturday. Before leaving prematurely, Candelario went 1-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout, and he's now hitting .254 on the year with a strong .813 OPS.
