Tony DeAngelo Rejoins Hurricanes
1 year agoDefenseman Tony DeAngelo has rejoined the Carolina Hurricanes as a free agent, signing a one-year, $1.675 million deal. DeAngelo was traded to Philadelphia only last July when he had spent just one season in Raleigh, but he is making a quick return after the Flyers bought out his two-year, $10 million contract that had one year left on it. DeAngelo had a decent campaign offensively in 2022-23 with 11 goals and 42 points in 70 games. He was even more productive as a Hurricane the year before, registering 51 points across 64 outings, and Carolina will certainly be hoping that the 27-year-old can get close to the same level of play in the upcoming season. In 340 career games, the offensive-minded blue-liner has tallied 199 points in total.
