Eloy Jimenez Missing Another Game
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) is on the bench again on Wednesday with the team facing the New York Mets. Jimenez hasn't played since leaving Sunday's game against the Atlanta Braves early with left-groin tightness. The White Sox said Jimenez was available off the bench on Tuesday, but he ultimately was not used and he'll begin on the bench again on Wednesday. The team said the other day that the 26-year-old could miss four to five games this week, so it shouldn't be much of a surprise. And if Jimenez doesn't improve soon, he could land on the injured list. Rookie Oscar Colas is getting a start in right field on Wednesday and is hitting eighth in the lineup against Mets veteran right-hander Justin Verlander.
