Diontae Johnson 2023 Player Outlook: Poised for a TD Bounceback in 2023?
1 year agoSince 2020, Pittsburgh Steelers WR Diontae Johnson has commanded 460 targets, good for No. 5 overall among WRs over that 3-year span. Johnson has shown an elite ability to get open and command targets, but last year wasn't as efficient after the catch and stumbled to a disappointing fantasy finish. In 2022, Johnson was caught in the crosshairs between veteran Mitch Trubisky and rookie Kenny Pickett and stumbled to just 86 receptions for 882 yards and 0 TDs. Now that Quarterback Kenny Pickett is returning for his sophomore season and the team has made some significant upgrades on the offensive line, the Steelers offense should be better in 2023. Johnson is inevitably due for some positive TD regression this upcoming season and has a chance to well outperform his current ADP. In most cases, always follow the volume.
