Mookie Betts Commits To Home Run Derby
1 year agoNow that Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts has officially been named to the National League All-Star team this year, he has formally committed to take part in this year's Home Run Derby. This will be Betts' first time participating in the event during All-Star week, which will be held in Seattle in 2023. Although he's not typically thought of as a home run hitter, Betts could definitely surprise some folks in this event if he's able to get on a roll. The 30-year-old has mixed in occasionally at middle infield for the Dodgers this year, and he's currently hitting .255 (76-for-298) with 20 home runs, 15 doubles, a triple, 50 RBI, seven stolen bases and 58 runs scored in 76 games. The seven-time All-Star is one of the best overall fantasy assets in the game.
