A.J. Brown 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Safe Floor In An Explosive Offense
1 year agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown did not disappoint in his first season with the team. After spending his first three years with the Tennessee Titans, Brown was traded to the Eagles during the 2022 NFL Draft. The 25-year-old wideout put together the best season of his young career in Philadelphia's new offense. He finished with a career-high 88 catches for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns last season. Brown was the WR6 in PPR formats in 2022, averaging 17.6 fantasy points per game. The former 2019 second-round pick was quarterback Jalen Hurts' favorite target right away, and with another offseason together, the wideout should be in store for another monster year in 2023. Brown will enter the season with a high floor in fantasy football. The Eagles' electric offense averaged 29.1 points per game and 385.8 yards per game, which helped Brown's weekly fantasy production. He's a very safe pick in a great offense. But battling with DeVonta Smith for targets in a run-first offense could impact his ceiling in fantasy this season. Despite competing for targets with Smith, Brown is a surefire top-20 pick in upcoming fantasy drafts and ranked 19th overall in RotoBaller's latest rankings.
