Justin Verlander Takes No-Decision In Five-Inning Start
1 year agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Justin Verlander turned in a decent start in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Mets. Verlander threw 100 pitches over five scoreless innings, allowing five hits and two walks with five strikeouts. The 40-year-old has not provided the output fantasy managers had expected and is now 2-4 with a 4.11 ERA and 7.74 K/9 rate in 10 starts. He hasn't been bad overall but has been disappointing by his standards. Verlander will look to put together another good showing in his next start in a tough matchup against the Giants.
