Tim Anderson Remains Out Friday
1 year agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson (shoulder) is still absent from the starting lineup on Friday against the visiting Boston Red Sox. Anderson last started a game on June 17 before exiting early with a right-shoulder injury. He hasn't started since then, although he made a pinch-hitting appearance on Tuesday. Fantasy managers should continue to consider him day-to-day, but if his absence extends much longer, the White Sox may have to put him on the injured list. The 30-year-old shortstop has been one of the biggest disappointments in fantasy this year, as he's hitting .249 (52-for-209) with no home runs, eight RBI and 10 RBI in 52 games. Elvis Andrus continues to start at shortstop and will hit seventh against Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello on Friday.
